The Women Led Development Council (WLDC) of WICCI (Women's Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry) is an influential platform that seeks to promote women’s leadership and active participation in driving socio-economic development across India. This council is a part of WICCI’s larger mission to empower women and break down barriers to gender equality in business, politics, and social development.
The council focuses on ensuring that women have the tools, knowledge, and opportunities to lead and contribute meaningfully to various sectors, especially in areas related to economic growth, policy-making, and sustainable development. It creates space for women entrepreneurs, professionals, and leaders to collaborate, network, and engage with policymakers and industry experts.
This council is led by National President Wg Cdr Ganga Nidhi Agarwal, serving Indian Air Force Officer and Officer On Special Duty, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). It comprises professionals and entrepreneurs from diverse industries, including technology, education, healthcare, digital marketing, and more. The council is actively involved in initiatives like collaborating with Space Kidz India on the ShaktiSat mission, aiming to train 12,000 girls from 108 countries in space exploration.
